Aspiring artists: Theatre 20's youth  donor  & Education  program

THEATRE 20: SPECIAL OFFER FOR STUDENTS AND YOUTH ** ONLY $20**

Aspiring Artists

At Theatre 20, we believe that musical theatre education is not only a chance to offer a creative outlet for youth, but an opportunity to build self-esteem and life skills that will benefit their lives offstage. The Aspiring Artists youth donor and education program targets high school students across the GTA who are interested in performing, producing and promoting musical theatre.

Aspiring Artist Program Features:
  1. Attendance at an invite-only dress rehearsal for one of Theatre 20's inaugural productions;
  2. Workshops that focus on improving audition techniques and performance skills*;
  3. Talkbacks with Theatre 20 Founding Artists and Emerging Artists that will provide insight on their careers and the transition from high school to Broadway*;
  4. Exclusive volunteer and mentorship opportunities for those interested in learning about the off-stage work (publicity, fundraising, production, administration) that brings a show to life; and
  5. Special offers and discounts on musical theatre-related events in the city.

*The specific topics covered in workshops and talkbacks will be decided according to the wishes of the program's participants.

The Aspiring Artist program costs $20 per participant (per season) and counts as a donation to Theatre 20. If you would like to be part of this program, or if you'd like to enroll someone in the program, please visit our CanadaHelps donation page and select the Aspiring Artist Fund/Designation.

In order to provide this incredible opportunity to a wide range of students we also encourage individuals, groups and organizations to become an Aspiring Artist Program Sponsor. Our goal is to provide access to all individuals who show a demonstrated interest in any area of musical theatre. As a sponsor, not only will you be giving valuable mentorship and training opportunities, you will receive exclusive benefits according to the amount donated as well as regular updates from participants about their experiences and how the program has affected their future plans and goals. Please visit our CanadaHelps donation page, select the Aspiring Artist Fund/Designation and enter a multiple of $20 according to the number of participants you would like to sponsor - for example, a donation of $200 allows 10 GTA youth to participate in this incredible program; $1,000 provides the opportunity for 50 students.

If you are interested in the Aspiring Artist program and require sponsorship to get involved, please email williamgoldbloom@gmail.com.
